| Dorkbot Malware Infects Facebook |
New Dorkbot Malware infecting facebook users worldwide, spreading from one computer to another via facebook chat. The bitdefender labs have found and blocked the DorkBot worm malware which is capable of spying on users browsing activities and stealing personal data.
"The malware is mainly circulates in the INDIA,US,PORTUGAL,UK,GERMANY,TURKEY and ROMAINIA".
The Malware poses a image 'jpg' file but in real and actual its an executable file, which trick users into executing it.
Dorkbot, which uses IRC bot, the malware is easily send and recieve data, and can also spread via Facebook chat or USB drives connected to an infected devices. Besides stealing personal data, username and passwords, the malware can also download other malware and virus into infected pc.
To protect yourself from this malware, you should avoid clicking on suspicious links on Facebook Chat or any other chat application, even when they seem to be coming from friends/family.
