Blackberry announced Tuesday that its popular Blackberry Messenger will be expanded in this coming summer to work on Android and iOS users, with fully features.
The app will be available once approved for Apple's iOS6 and devices running 4.0 or higher version, BBM for android and iOS will first roll out as a text message service, and about video and other services will be added later, said CEO Thorsten Heins.
Heans also said its now time to make the service available on its competitors devices as well and the application will be available for free for iPhone and Android devices, many of whome download services like Whatsapp, which provides a similar, though unrestricted, service.
Blackberry also unviel the BlackBerry Q5 a new low cost smartphone built on the Blackberry 10 platform, the phone which has a 3.1 inch screen and a physical keyboard, the device available in red,black,white and pink.
