In a blog post facebook is telling us that it was hacked in last month(Jan 2013) Facebook security discovered that our system had been targeted in a sophisticated attack.

This Happened when a couple of their employees visited a mobile version of a developer website that was compromised. The compromised website hosted an exploit which then allowed malware to be installed on these employee laptops.
The company said that they immediately reported the exploit to Oracle which released a last patch in February 1st.
Facebook said it has found no evidence that user data was compromised, and company fixed the infected machines and an investigation is underway. and Facebook also said it was not the only company targeted in the attack but was one of the first companies to discover this malware.
