Design
Speaking about the design of HTC Desire 600,
the phone has a dimension of 5.31 x 2.64 x 0.36 inches and is around 130gm in
weight. It features volume control on the right side with power on and off at
the top. With two colour options, the phone looks regal and classy in design.
The phone is sleeker in looks as compare to the Sony Xperia M Dual. M Dual
features dimension of 4.88 x 2.44x 0.37 inches. It weighs around 115gm. it sports
volume control, lock/unlock and camera shutter keys on the right side with
power on/off button at the top. The phone is available in black, yellow as well
as purple and white.
Display
The display of HTC Desire 600 steals the
limelight as the screen is 4.5 inches with a higher pixel resolution of 540 x
960pixels. The phone possesses S-LCD 2 capacitive, multi-touch display with
pixel density of 245ppi. On the contrary, Sony M Dual comes with a TFT screen
of 4 inches, featuring resolution of 480 x854 pixels, 245ppi. The display of M
Dual comes with scratch resistant glass, though HTC doesn’t offer any screen
protection. Thus, HTC wins the race with a bigger screen size and higher pixel
resolution. Both the phones feature
light sensor and proximity sensor.
Hardware
HTC One comes compacted with Qualcomm
Snapdragon 200, Quad Core clocked at 1.2GHz. The device is well-decked with 1GB
of internal storage along with 8GB of expandable storage that can be expanded
up to 64 GB. Sony Xperia M Dual feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, Dual Core
processor clocked at 1GHz. The RAM remains the same but the expandable memory
is 4GB which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot. Here again the
limelight is stolen by HTC as it carries a processor with better expandable
storage system.
Operating
System
While Xperia M Dual runs on Android version
4.2 Jelly Bean, HTC Desire 600 runs on Android version 4.1 Jelly Bean. For a
batter user interface, HTC offers HTC BlinkFeed User Interface that makes
navigation easy.

HTC Desire600 comes compacted with an 8MP rear
camera that features LED flash, Back-illuminated sensor, auto focus, face
detection, smile detection, geo tagging and more. The device supports video
recording 720p @30fps. It also features a front facing camera of 1.6MP to allow
video calling. On the other hand, Sony Xperia M Dual features 5MP camera with
LED flash, auto focus, geo-tagging, touch focus, image stabilisation, panorama
and HDR. It allows video recording 720 @ 30fps. It comes with 0.3MP front facing
VGA camera that allows video calling.
Battery
Practically, talking about battery life of HTC
Desire 600, it features 1860mAh Li-Polymer battery that gives a talk time of 11
hours 40minutes and a standby of 539 hours. The standard talk time in 3G is 11
hours 10minutes. While the battery of
Xperia M Dual renders a talk time of 10 hours 30 minutes and a standby of 499
hours. The talk time served in 3G is 9 hours. It grants a music playback of 39
hours 40 minutes and video playback of 6 hours 58 minutes.
Connectivity
The connectivity options of both the phone is
almost same. Both the phones are Dual SIM supporters and offer great internet
and sharing connectivity. Both the phones support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v.4.0, NFC,
MicroUSB port, GPRS, DLNA, OTA Sync, EDGE, 3G, global roaming, GPS with A-GPS,
Wi-Fi hotspot and more. The devices serve internet connectivity through HTML 5.

difficult to select the best out of the above mentioned devices. While HTC
offers a much advanced version, Xperia has the same features, carrying the
legacy of Xperia ahead. Sony Xperia M Dual comes at a whopping price of INR
23,500/- while HTC Desire 600 is tagged at INR 25,431/-. Both the phones are
exciting in their own field. However, with a bigger display, higher image
resolutions, better picture capturing quality, larger battery life and better
user Interface, HTC Desire proves to be a better option to the users.
We would like to recommend that for those who
are new in the mobile world HTC will serve as a better option with its BlinkFeed
UI as it allows better and simple navigation. However, Sony fans will never
compromise with their loyalty due to this reason. The Xperia M dual is a great
phone from the Xperia series. It is a perfect buy for those who love Xperia
models. With a perfect screen size, great imaging and good battery life, the
phone is a perfect option for those who are looking for an affordable version
