A fake Blackberry Messenger (BBM) app for android, fool'd 1 lakh android users. Taking advantage of people's curiosity, a 'RIM' name developer uploaded a fake BlackBerry Messenger app at Google Play. but BlackBerry phones are no longer called RIM. Company changed its name from RIM to Blackberry in January.
100.000 people downloaded the BlackBerry Messenger App, and app shows a screen promising that app would start working on 27th june. and app followed up with an agreement to allow advertising network, startApp to install icons and more on people phone." Repots CNET.
Blackberry had announced its bring its popular Blackberry Messenger system to Android and iOS, however the company has not yet revealed as to when the app will be available to Android and iOS.
