We already know internet users loves to chat via webcam using diffrent types of chat application like Skype,Yahoo etc. but somewhat Webcam can be costly and sometimes unavailable, but in this article i will show you how to use your mobile camera as PC webcam for Video Chat. it can save your money and same webcam experience.

 I have select one good application for converting your Mobile Camera into PC webcam using small application easily. 

 SmartCam application is simple to use and easy to install for all mobile platform like Symbian, Android etc and connect as a Webcam for your PC via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

 Installation:

 Download SmartCam PC Application, and install in your PC.

 Then Download SmartCam(Android), SmartCam(Symbian) SmartCam(Bada) and Install app in your Mobile.

 Open SmartCam app in your mobile and goto setting and put your local IP and select connect via Wi-Fi or bluetooth.

and then Connect to your PC, now go to your Chat application (Skype or Yahoo) and select Smartcam in Video settings.

      there are apps for nokia too,used on 3230 and 5800,lumia series as well.

    @aamir bro your using 2MP camera.. its main problem wid your camera resolution... goto app n settings... den select low resolution... and den connect ... and allow your smartcam in your firewall if your using Win7

    @syed bhai... i dnt think so ... bt haan i will search app for blackberry users ...

    u can use kies to install or u can manually install ...

    You 1st need to extract them......
    1. Use a soft. winrar..... (download and load it in ur pc)
    2. when u load this soft. in ur pc...., after that right klick on that perticular file(you downloaded) there u'll see "extrect here" klick that
    3. the new file which you'll see in same folder
    4. copy paste those files in us phone or card....
    5. then open those files in phone and load ..... and there u go

    i'm using samsung s3850 (corby 2),i've downloaded bada version and extracted in my computer and copied the extracted file to my memory card and inserted in my mobile but the problem is i couldn't install it.. what can i do??

    The wifi Works great with samsung galaxy camera , Bluetooth has very low frame and is not sychronizing properly.

    there is certificate issue. i changed date to x-x-2011.

    you can do via cable ... or simply using bluetooth device which you can found any mobile store and its abt 1 or 2$ (100rs)...

    I have downloaded this apps thru wifi in samsung wave Y, however it is not showing setting option under main menu and also it is showing msg on top corner of mobile 'smartcam disconnected'.. pls guide how to install correctly

    i installed smartcam.exe in my pc and i dwnlod smartcam app thru play store but i cant connect it. i use TAG Bluetooth for device in my desktop but it always show disconnected message how i connect please help me out and send email to jigs76.bhavsar@gmail.com ASAP

    I am using IDEA SmartPhone, I installed SmartCam in both desktop and mobile also. In mobile phone settings enabled server option, set server address in my pc ip, Client ID take blank, Port Number set which is set in desktop's download SmartCam and username and user password take blank. This is entire settings of Idea SmartPhone. And also on Bluetooth and wifi connectivity...but it's not working...Can you please suggest me what things I missed, What should I do ? Can you please explain me in details..Samad Bhai.

    How to connect an Android phone to a standard USB device, you need to use a micro USB to USB Type A Female convertor, but this should also be an OTG Cable . A mini USB OTG cable is available in the market for affordable price.
