DRDO director-general V.K Saraswat said " To ensure security of network, the Defence Research and Development Organisation(DRDO) along with premium institutions of the country now developing a Made-in-India OS in next three years.
This program is a major move in the direction of cyber security, because today we are dependent on all other OS which are imported whether it is based on Linux or Windows.
According to the DRDO chief, 150 engineers were working across the country on creating INDIAN OS, DRDO is also working on putting the basic elements of the network likes switches, and also working on bandwidth improvement and spectrum management.
