Sumsung Electronics Co.Ltd, a global leader in advanceed semiconductor technology solutions, november 6th 2012 Sumsung announce 4th generation "Green memory" solution at the annual memory solution at the shilla hotel,korea.
The new solution introduces a combination of its advanced 20 NANOMETER(NM) class DD3 and 20nm-class SSD's based on high performance SATA 6.0GB and SAS interfaces respectively.
The "Green Memory" solution addresses the benefits of next generation enterprise servers, server storage solutions and personal computing solutions.
Wanhoon Hong, executive vice president of Memory sales and marketing said Sumsung will continue to proactively respond to diverse consumer needs with the timely development of differentiated next-generation green memory devices and solutions.
Sumsung also claims the solution when used in a datacenter, the overall performance is increased by 6 times while power consumption decreases by 20 percent on servers and 60% on storage in comparison with 40nm class DRAM and HDD.
